Location: Manchester (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
Salary: £68,000 10% bonus
 
We’re working with a leading high street retailer who are looking for a Data Engineer to join their growing data team. This well-established international business undergoing a major digital transformation. The organisation is investing heavily in data and technology to drive innovation and customer-centric solutions. You’ll join a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment with plenty of opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain data pipelines using modern cloud technologies
• Develop and optimise SQL, Python and dbt solutions
• Implement data quality checks and testing processes
• Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline issues
• Support CI/CD and automation initiatives
• Work closely with engineers and stakeholders in an Agile environment
• Document pipelines and technical solutions

Skills Needed:

• 2 years' Data Engineering experience
• Strong SQL skills
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, or similar cloud data platforms
• Commercial experience with dbt
• Python scripting and data transformation experience
• Experience using Git and PR workflows
• Understanding of CI/CD practices
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
