Engineering Director
EXCLUSIVE TO CHROMA: A global engineering organisation based in the Greater Manchester area are searching for a new Engineering Director to take the business forward into a new era.
The business has recently assembled a new senior leadership team, with this role joining and being an integral part of that as they embark on an exciting journey. Steeped in over 75 years of British Manufacturing history, the business is globally renowned for their premium and long-lasting products.
The role reports directly to the Managing Director, but you’ll be working very closely with the Operations Director and other members of the SLT. You’ll be responsible for a team of Mechanical Design Engineers working on NPD and NPI. This role sits as the key design authority within the business so previous experience of this is very desirable. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining all quality standards, documentation and overall processes.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in management, have a true passion for driving new ideas, R&D and have experience working within a technical engineering role.

Engineering Director Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is very desirable
- Experience of reporting into and working C-Suite/Director level
- Technical background in Mechanical Design & Manufacturing
- Team management
- Experience of NPD/NPI
- Strong technical documentation and design authority
- Heavy engineering or high precision technologies
- Work to company quality standards
