Electrical Controls Engineer

We’re recruiting for an Electrical Controls Engineer to join a market-leading engineering business specialising in automatic combustion equipment and packaged energy centres, supplying into global markets and blue-chip clients.

This is a hands-on, technically varied role ideal for an engineer with experience in electrical design and control systems who enjoys working across the full project lifecycle. You’ll be involved in everything from design and documentation through to PLC programming, testing, and on-site commissioning, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineered solutions.

You’ll be responsible for leading electrical engineering activities on projects, producing technical documentation, programming PLC/HMI systems, and supporting installation and commissioning both in-house and on customer sites.

Electrical Controls Engineer – Essential Skills & Experience:

• Hands-on PLC/HMI programming experience (TIA Portal preferred)
• Understanding of industrial communication protocols (Modbus / Profinet / Ethernet-IP)
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar (preferred)
• ATEX knowledge (desirable)
