Electronics Design Engineer - Defence

A growing business in the Coventry area is looking to increase its R&D capability due to successfully winning new projects in defence. Chroma are looking for an Electronics Design Engineer who can design bespoke boards from concept/specification.  

This role requires you to be a British National with SC Clearance, previous experience working in defence.

The role of Electronics Design Engineer reports to their team lead on a day-to-day basis working as part of a multi-disciplined team. The team consists of hardware, mechanical, software, test and validation engineers.

This role is classed as full lifecycle, where you’ll be involved from specification, design, test, validation and delivery for manufacture. You’ll be working with external and internal partners to deliver highly complex solutions.

Electronics Design Engineer Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Electronics Engineering
• Analogue and Digital design
• Schematic Capture
• PCB Design & Layout (all packages considered)
• RF Design
• FPGA/ASIC design (desirable)
• EMC/EMI standards
