Mechanical Design Engineer

Due to continuing expansion, this highly reputable Engineering & Special Equipment Manufacturer are looking to grow their design team. As part of this growth, they are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership on full life-cycle designs for a niche sector.

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will operate in multi-functional project teams and be tasked with overseeing cutting-edge equipment and design projects. Key duties include client liaison, concept design for Special Purpose Machinery, 3D / 2D CAD, calculations, test & validation and overseeing your work into build and commissioning.

As this company are looking to grow, they’re open to seeing candidates from Graduate level through to experienced Engineers.

Mechanical Design Engineer requirements

• Degree level in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
• Strong 3D CAD skills
• Experience in Fabrication and Sheet Metal design
• Special Purpose Machinery Experience
• GD&T
• Experience in highly-regulated industries - Medical, Pharma, Nuclear etc. (desirable)
