Area Sales Manager – UK & EuropeRemote / Hybrid | Engineering Machinery
A well‑established European engineering business specialising in precision machinery and industrial processing equipment is looking to appoint an Area Sales Manager to support continued growth across the UK and selected European territories.
This is a hands‑on, technical sales role suited to someone who enjoys building long‑term customer relationships, working with engineered products, and operating with a high degree of autonomy. Full product and application training will be provided.
The RoleReporting directly to the leadership team, the Area Sales Manager will be responsible for developing sales across an established customer base while identifying and converting new business opportunities. Acting as the link between customers, distributors, and internal engineering teams, you’ll play a key role in representing the company and its products across your territory.
The position is home‑based, with regular UK travel and occasional European travel for customer visits, distributor meetings, and exhibitions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage relationships with existing customers and distributor partners
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the territory
- Provide technical sales support and product guidance to customers
- Prepare and manage quotations, proposals, and sales documentation
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure customer requirements are met
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and customer meetings as required
- Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline reporting
Requirements- Proven B2B sales experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment
- Comfortable selling technical or engineered products
- Experience managing both new business and existing accounts
- Confident working autonomously in a remote role
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally overseas
- French language skills desirable but not essential
