A great opportunity for a confident, customer-facing engineer to take a dedicated on-site role with one of our MSP client's largest accounts, a vibrant, fast-paced business in South Manchester.
Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing MSP based in South Manchester, known for developing their engineers through a structured progression programme and a genuinely supportive, values-led culture.
This is a sole on-site engineer position, you'll be the dedicated IT presence at the customer site four days a week, returning to HQ one day a week for team time and training. You'll own tickets end-to-end at the customer site (desktop, M365, Active Directory, basic networking, hardware, printing) with full backing from the MSP's 2nd/3rd Line and project teams behind you.
The end client is energetic and people-focused, so personality fit matters as much as technical depth. We're looking for someone calm, articulate, genuinely helpful, and comfortable being the most visible IT person in the building.
What you'll bring:- 3 years in IT support, MSP experience strongly preferred
- 1st/2nd Line with real customer-facing exposure
- Strong Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365
- AD user/group admin, Group Policy basics
- Networking fundamentals, hardware and printing comfort
- Self-sufficient: happy operating solo on-site most of the week
- Full UK driving licence and/or own reliable transport — essential
Nice to have: PSA / RMM tooling exposure, Intune/Autopilot, Microsoft or CompTIA certifications.
