Business Analyst

Senior Business Analyst Location: Central London Hybrid Working: 2-3 days per week Overview We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join an expanding Strategy and Technology Delivery team. You will collaborate closely with Programme Managers, technical teams and business stakeholders within a large, complex organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of innovative technology solutions and support business transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will conduct thorough business analysis by reviewing existing systems and processes, identifying opportunities for enhancement, and supporting the implementation of new solutions. Effective collaboration with internal teams, external partners and operational stakeholders will be essential to design, build and deliver solutions addressing complex business challenges. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse business opportunities, applications and requirements to identify core needs and articulate clear solution specifications.
  • Gather, document, organise and model business requirements, ensuring clarity, completeness and shared understanding among stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to map current and future-state processes, identifying inefficiencies and potential improvements.
  • Produce detailed process documentation, workflows, data flows and system interaction diagrams in standard formats.
  • Validate and verify requirements with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and quality standards.
  • Support business teams in developing business cases, evaluating solution options and defining expected benefits and return on investment.
  • Collaborate closely with technology, digital, engineering and third-party delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess process performance and recommend enhancements.
  • Ensure proposed solutions comply with relevant regulatory requirements, internal controls and organisational standards.
  • Assist with testing activities, implementation planning, change management and user adoption initiatives.
  • Provide training, knowledge transfer and early-life support following system implementations.

Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in Business Analysis, Process Improvement or a related discipline.
  • Strong expertise in business process mapping and process optimisation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of BPMN 2.0 and experience producing standardised process documentation.
  • Proven track record of working across the full project lifecycle, including business change and transformation programmes.
  • Experience gathering and managing requirements within complex organisational environments.
  • Understanding of enterprise systems and business processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
  • Experience with data modelling and a sound understanding of AI technologies, concepts and applications.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, Visio, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward.
