IT Field & Support Engineer
We're looking for a technically capable and customer-focused IT Field & Support Engineer to join our growing technical team.
In this hands-on role, you'll be the primary point of contact for on-site IT installations and support across client sites, working closely with our Lead Engineer. From installing network infrastructure and new hardware to responding to incidents within SLAs, you'll play a key part in delivering gold-standard service to our customers.
What you'll be doing:- Visiting client sites to install, configure and maintain IT infrastructure (network equipment, hardware, software)
- Responding to on-site incidents and providing technical support
- Scheduling and managing site attendances and project work
- Supporting the central helpdesk team with remote end-user support
- Completing site documentation, asset audits and administration
- Assisting the sales team with site surveys and pre-sales recommendations
What we're looking for:- A full, valid UK driving licence with regular access to a vehicle
- Experience with end-user IT support (computers, networks, software, devices)
- A working understanding of network devices — routers, switches, access points
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration
- Familiarity with Windows Server and Desktop environments
- Comfortable using hands-on site tools (drills, ladders, cable crimpers etc.)
Bonus points for experience with Active Directory, virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V), SharePoint, firewalls, VPNs, or wireless infrastructure — but we're happy to develop the right person.
