Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Due to continuing expansion & huge increase in projects, this reputable engineering firm are looking to grow their engineering team ASAP. As part of this growth, they are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of the full design lifecycle.

The successful Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will operate in multi-functional project teams and be tasked with leading cutting-edge machinery design projects. Key duties include client liaison, concept design, 3D / 2D CAD, calculations, test & validation and overseeing your work into build and commissioning.

The company design a highly bespoke range of machinery incorporating complex assemblies, frames, precision components, rotating parts, gearboxes, drives, bearings, seals, instrumentation etc. Each project is both different and extremely exciting. Senior Mechanical Design Engineer requirements

• Degree level in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
• 3D CAD – PTC CREO or SolidWorks
• Experience with Electro-Mechanical Instrumentation or Machinery design
• GD&T
• Sound knowledge of 1st principles, hand calculations & simulations
