Engineering Lead – Control Systems

BRAND NEW POSITION: Chroma are delighted to be recruiting for a North-West based process machinery manufacturer with a global presence.
 
The role of Engineering Lead will involve a healthy blend of 80% hands on engineering and 20% management. The technical side will be primarily focused on PLC/HMI development (Omron – Structured Text), electrical control panel design and design standardisation. On the management side you will be lead, develop and motive a team of 4/5 Engineers (Mechanical, Electrical & Controls). This includes checking work, managing workloads and driving continuous improvement across the team/

Engineering Lead – Control Systems requirements:

• Degree or HND/C level in Engineering (or similar)
• PLC programming from scratch in Structured Text (ST)
• Omron PLC experience
• Electrical design skills
• Senior/Principal level Engineer (ideally with leadership experience)
• Able to travel occasionally
