Electrical Design Engineer

EXCLUSIVE ROLE: Chroma Recruitment is looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support the design and development of electrical systems within a low-voltage industrial environment.

This Electrical Design Engineer role will see you working on electrical schematics, control panels, power distribution systems, and technical documentation for automated industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems, control panels, and power distribution solutions
• Produce electrical CAD drawings, wiring diagrams, and BOMs
• Ensure compliance with BS EN, IEC, and UL standards
• Support FAT/SAT testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation
• Work closely with engineering, production, and sourcing teams

Experience Required:

• Previous experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within industrial automation, machinery, or manufacturing
• Strong CAD and electrical documentation skills
• Knowledge of PLCs, motors, drives, encoders, and low-voltage systems
• SolidWorks Electrical Software or similar
