Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Overtime + Expenses + Training Location: UK Wide Travel Required Full Time | Permanent

A growing engineering business specialising in industrial installation, maintenance and turnkey project delivery is looking to add an experienced Installation Engineer to its expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys working on varied projects across the UK. You'll be involved in the installation, maintenance and repair of material handling equipment and associated systems, working both independently and as part of a skilled engineering team.

The Role

As an Installation Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality installation and maintenance work at customer sites nationwide.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installing conveyors, silos, pipework and material handling equipment
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and servicing
  • Diagnosing faults and repairing mechanical systems
  • Working from engineering drawings and site plans
  • Supporting the delivery of bespoke engineering and turnkey projects
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
  • Liaising professionally with customers and site personnel
  • Supporting inspection and cleaning activities where required

About You

We're looking for someone with strong mechanical engineering or installation experience who enjoys a varied, site-based role.

Essential:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Mechanical installation, maintenance or service engineering experience
  • Ability to use hand and power tools confidently
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Good understanding of health & safety best practices
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK and stay away when required
  • Flexible approach to overtime and project demands

Desirable:

  • Experience with conveyors, silos, material handling systems or industrial machinery
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Pipework installation experience
  • CSCS, IPAF or PASMA certification
