Quality Manager

A market-leading engineering and manufacturing business operating within the Offshore & Renewables sector is looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join their leadership team in Skelmersdale.
Reporting into senior management, the successful Quality Manager will take ownership of the Quality Management System, providing strategic leadership, governance and technical expertise across the business. You will drive a culture of continuous improvement, lead certification and audit activities, manage quality performance, and ensure compliance with ISO9001, IATF16949 and company standards.
Quality Manager Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Quality Manager or Senior Quality leadership position
- Strong knowledge of ISO9001 and IATF16949 quality management systems
- Internal and/or Lead Auditor qualification
- Proven experience managing quality audits, non-conformances and corrective actions
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment
- Strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and root cause analysis
Quality Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead and maintain the Quality Management System across the site
- Coordinate and manage ISO9001 and IATF16949 certification activities
- Drive a positive quality culture throughout the business
- Monitor quality KPIs, identify trends and implement improvement initiatives
- Lead investigations into quality issues, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented
- Conduct audits and ensure compliance with internal, customer and regulatory requirements
- Provide quality leadership and support to operational teams
- Manage and develop direct reports, including performance reviews and objective setting
- Work closely with suppliers and customers on quality-related matters
