Responsible Individual

Work as a Responsible Individual for an established and growing Children’s Residential Care provider with services across East Lancashire and Greater Manchester. The provider is eager to speak with experienced Responsible Individuals and Regional Managers who have a strong Ofsted background and can provide effective oversight, support Registered Managers and maintain high standards across its residential services.

Responsible Individual Requirements:

• Extensive experience within Children’s Residential Care
• Previous Responsible Individual or Regional Management experience
• Strong history of achieving positive Ofsted outcomes
• Experience overseeing multiple homes and Registered Managers
• Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, compliance and quality assurance
• Strong understanding of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
• Therapeutic, child-centred and values-led approach
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the region

As a Responsible Individual, you’ll provide operational and regulatory oversight across an allocated portfolio of children’s homes. You’ll work closely with Registered Managers and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure each service delivers high-quality, child-centred care and consistently meets Ofsted requirements.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining strong oversight of safeguarding, compliance, quality assurance, staffing and service performance. You’ll support and challenge Registered Managers, oversee improvement plans, ensure homes remain inspection-ready and promote a culture of accountability, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
