A specialist engineering organisation based in Warrington is seeking a Laboratory & Test Technician to support research, development, qualification and investigative testing programmes within a highly technical laboratory environment.
This is a hands-on role suited to candidates with experience in laboratory testing, scientific instrumentation, vacuum systems, calibration, electronics testing, or engineering laboratory environments.
The Role
You will be responsible for supporting a range of laboratory and test activities, including:
- Operating and maintaining specialist laboratory and test equipment
- Setting up, commissioning and supporting test programmes
- Calibration and verification of instrumentation
- Fault finding and troubleshooting technical equipment
- Mechanical and electrical assembly of fixtures, rigs and test systems
- Supporting engineers during development, qualification and customer testing activities
- Maintaining laboratory standards, quality records and traceability
- Supporting continuous improvement of laboratory processes and facilities
What We're Looking For
We'd be interested in speaking with candidates who have experience in one or more of the following:
- Laboratory Technician
- Test Technician
- Calibration Technician
- Instrumentation Technician
- Electronics Test Engineer/Technician
- Scientific Instrumentation Engineer
- Development Technician
- Engineering Technician
Experience with any of the following would be particularly beneficial:
- Vacuum systems (HV/UHV)
- Scientific instrumentation
- Mass spectrometry
- Calibration and metrology
- Instrumentation and sensors
- Data acquisition systems
- Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
- Mechanical or electrical assembly
- Environmental or qualification testing
- Cleanroom environments

- Scientific or Laboratory Disciplines
