Production Engineer
A specialist Electronics Manufacturing business in the Wigan area are looking for a Senior Production Engineer to join them during their next phase of company growth.
As Senior Production Engineer, you’ll take ownership of improving how products are introduced, controlled and supported through production. Working closely across Engineering, Production, Quality and Supply Chain, you’ll review existing processes, identify gaps and lead improvements across NPI, engineering change, production quality and manufacturing processes.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll investigate production faults, non-conformances and field returns, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented. The majority of the production in this role is electronics, a background in this would be very beneficial.
Senior Production Engineer requirements:
- Previous experience in a Production Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering role within an electronics manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting the introduction and transfer of new and updated products into production
- Strong understanding of production processes, manufacturing quality and continuous improvement
- Experience reviewing and improving build packs, work instructions and manufacturing data
- Ability to investigate production faults, non-conformances and field returns and implement effective corrective actions
- Experience managing component alternatives, supplier changes and component
