Installation Engineer Trainee
An innovative engineering company in the Wrexham area is looking to add a Production Engineer / Trainee Installation Engineer to their growing team. This is a unique opportunity to join a specialist manufacturer whose equipment is used by some of the world's leading research institutions.
The successful candidate will initially spend around three months at the Wrexham facility learning how to build, assemble and test the company's highly technical products. Following this training period, the role will develop into an Installation Engineer position, involving international travel to install, service and support equipment at customer sites worldwide.
This role would suit someone with strong practical engineering skills, a hands-on approach and the confidence to solve problems independently while working on-site with customers.
Production Engineer / Trainee Installation Engineer Requirements:
• Degree qualified in Engineering, Physics or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent industry experience
• Experience building, assembling or testing technical products or equipment
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Mechanical and/or electrical engineering knowledge
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Willingness to travel internationally for up to 30-40% of the time
This role offers the opportunity to visit some of the most advanced research and development facilities in the world whilst developing into a customer-facing engineering position. The company is open to considering a range of experience levels and can offer further training and development for the right individual.
