Lead Hardware Engineer
A leading engineering organisation is hiring for a Lead Hardware Engineer to join their growing team. This position has been created due to continued project growth and offers the opportunity to work on the development of complex, high-reliability electronic systems.
They're looking for an experienced Lead Hardware Engineer with a strong background in electronics design, technical leadership and full product lifecycle development. The successful candidate will work across architecture, design, integration, testing and manufacturing while helping to guide multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Lead Hardware Engineer Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
- 13+ years’ experience in a hardware product design role
- Significant experience in electronics hardware design and development
- Mixed-signal, analogue and digital circuit design experience
- PCB design and layout experience using tools such as Altium, Xpedition or similar
- Embedded systems and hardware/software integration knowledge
- Experience working within high-reliability, safety-critical or regulated industries
- Understanding of EMC, environmental testing and design assurance processes
- Previous technical leadership, mentoring or project leadership experience
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with DO-254, DO-178C, IEC 61508 or similar standards
- Knowledge of ARM-based microcontrollers and embedded firmware development
- Experience with requirements management and full lifecycle product development
- Exposure to aerospace, defence, medical or industrial electronics
