Mechanical Design Engineer

With new projects secured for 2027 and beyond this engineering business based in the Wigan area are actively looking for a new Mechanical Design Engineer to join their close-knit team

The role of Mechanical Design Engineer is a really varied role and will give you the opportunity to design products from a blank sheet of paper all the way through to prototype, hands-on testing and then manufacture! The products are for safety critical industries and therefore require a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience designing products to strict standards such as PED, EN and PPE Class 3.

If you are a Mechanical Design Engineer who enjoys a varied workload and getting to work with a lot of autonomy this could be a great opportunity for you!

Mechanical Design Engineer requirements:

• Degree or HNC/D in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
• 3D CAD – SolidWorks (or similar)
• Safety critical industry experience – ideally marine, pressure equipment etc.
• Verification & Validation
