Mechanical Design Team Lead
A leading manufacturer of bespoke process equipment are looking for a Mechanical Design Team Lead to join their team! Designing and manufacturing innovative equipment for customers across the UK and worldwide, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business working on complex engineering projects.
This role entails an exciting mix of hands-on mechanical design and technical team leadership. The successful Mechanical Design Team Lead will be responsible for providing technical direction to the Mechanical Design team, allocating workloads, coordinating engineering resources and supporting project delivery. You will work closely with Project Engineers, Controls Engineers, Manufacturing and Purchasing teams to ensure designs are practical, safe and manufacturable. The role will also involve producing 2D and 3D CAD designs, manufacturing drawings and engineering documentation, alongside leading design reviews, managing technical challenges and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer or Mechanical Design Team Lead with experience in bespoke machinery, process equipment or capital equipment to take the next step in their career!
Mechanical Design Team Lead Requirements:
- HNC/D or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3D CAD – Inventor (or similar)
- Proven process machinery design experience – ideally for the Pharmaceutical / Containment sector
- ATEX standards
- Leadership experience (highly desirable)
