Mechanical Design Engineer

Chroma have partnered with a West Yorkshire based Special Purpose Machinery manufacturer in their search for a highly-skilled Mechanical Design Engineer. This company are at the forefront of a wave of new Innovative Technology and Systems about to take over the UK & European markets.

You’ll join a new team within the business, operating in a fast-paced environment, with the scope to become the departments subject matter expert. This will involve taking lead on the conceptual design of bespoke Electro-Mechanical Machinery, consisting of sheet metal parts, enclosures, machined components and electronic integration, whilst implementing DFM / DFA.  

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new division and take leadership on your own designs from the ground up, including prototyping and testing with the support of a global manufacturing business and large-scale engineering division.

Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:

• Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong 3D CAD Skills (Solidworks, NX – open)
• Sheet Metalwork Design & Manufacturing (Essential)
• Experience with Electro-Mechanical Equipment & Complex Components/Parts
• Designed for High-Volume Production
• Design for Manufacture & Assembly
